Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir held its Central Members’ Conference 2025 with the participation of a wide range of Islamic student and youth leaders from Bangladesh and abroad, reflecting the growing strength of international cooperation among Islamic student movements.
The conference was chaired by Zahidul Islam, Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, and featured Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, as the chief guest. In his address, Dr. Rahman emphasized the strategic role of student movements in nurturing awareness, developing leadership, and serving the causes of the Ummah.
The event was attended by several prominent international figures, including Dr. Mostafa Faisal Parvez, Secretary General of the International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations (IIFSO), who highlighted the importance of cross-border student cooperation and strengthening partnerships among member organizations to address the shared challenges facing Muslim youth worldwide.
Other distinguished participants included Ridwan Rashid, President of the Muslim Youth Network (UK); Muhammad I. M. Abu Chakra, representative of the Youth Wing of the Islamic World Youth Forum (IWYF); Khairul Nadir Helmi, Head of Communications of the Youth Wing of Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS); Ridwan El-Mughomieru, Foreign Affairs Secretary of KAMMI Indonesia; and Malik Jalaldeen, Youth Representative of Jamaat-e-Islami Sri Lanka.
Speakers unanimously stressed that the conference was not merely an internal organizational gathering, but a unifying platform for experience sharing, solidarity building, and renewing commitment to the role of Islamic student movements in driving positive change and preparing principled youth leaders capable of engaging with an increasingly interconnected global landscape.
