The International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations (IIFSO) follows with grave concern and strong condemnation the dangerous military escalation and the aggression launched by the Israeli occupation forces, in coordination with U.S. forces, against the sovereign territories of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This blatant violation represents a perilous development that threatens both regional and global peace and security.

I. Violation of International Law and Territorial Integrity
Rooted in our long-standing commitment to the United Nations Charter, IIFSO emphasizes that this aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, specifically the principles prohibiting the use of force against the sovereignty and political independence of states. The breach of national airspace and territories of a UN member state is a condemned act that undermines the foundations of the international order.

II. Condemnation of Targeting Civilians and Vital Assets
The Federation condemns, in the harshest terms, any strikes targeting civilian-populated areas or essential infrastructure. Endangering innocent lives and spreading terror among civilians are unjustifiable acts that contradict the fundamental human values we champion. Such actions clearly violate the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols concerning the protection of civilians during armed conflicts.

III. International Responsibility and the Role of the UN
Drawing upon our historical relationship with the United Nations system—which spans nearly five decades since 1977—we call upon the international community and the UN Security Council to uphold their legal and moral obligations. It is imperative to curb this military overreach and prevent the region from descending into a catastrophic all-out war. The persistence of “double standards” in addressing violations by aggressor powers only serves to embolden further breaches of international law with impunity.

IV. A Call to the Youth of the Ummah and the Global Community
IIFSO urges student and youth organizations worldwide to unite against the rhetoric of war and to advocate for justice and peace. We maintain that regional stability is the essential pillar for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Aggression yields nothing but cycles of hatred and instability, hindering the progress and future of the youth.
