In a significant collaborative effort, the International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations (IIFSO) and Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Pakistan co-hosted the International Youth Conference on December 29-30. The conference, under the banner “Muslim Youth, Ummah’s Hope,” aimed to address the “Contemporary Political and Ideological Issues of the Muslim World and the Role of Youth Organizations” and drew active participation from both entities, symbolizing a united front in the empowerment of Muslim youth.
Dr. Mostafa Faisal Parvez, Secretary-General of IIFSO, delivered a keynote speech that delved deep into the pressing issues confronting the Muslim world today. His insightful address provided a comprehensive overview and sparked a dynamic exchange of ideas among the participants, setting the tone for a conference dedicated to the development and empowerment of Muslim youth leadership.
The Al-Quds Session, moderated by Mr. Waqas Azmi, former President of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Karachi, featured a distinguished panel including Mr. Asif Luqman Qazi, Head of Foreign Affairs at Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan, Dr. Khalid, Dr. Mostafa Faisal Parvez, and Dr. Ashraf. This session offered profound discussions on the critical issues surrounding the Al-Quds and the broader geopolitical challenges facing the Muslim world.
The conference was enriched with various sessions and lectures that touched upon vital themes such as the global geopolitical shifts and their impact on the Muslim world, with notable contributions from Dr. Ibrahim Muhanna and Dr. Mukhtar Shinqiti, Professor of International Affairs at the University of Qatar. Their presentations delved into “Crisis and the Modern World” and “The Rising East and The Setting West: Global Impact of Geopolitical Changes on The Muslim World,” respectively.
The inaugural session featured speeches by Brother Shakeel Ahmad, President of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Pakistan and Assistant Secretary-General of IIFSO, Engr. Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman, and Professor Azzam Al-Ayoubi, further emphasizing the conference’s global significance and its role as a crucible for fostering dialogue and collaboration among Muslim youth leaders from around the world.
The International Youth Conference concluded with a ceremony where the President of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Pakistan presented souvenirs to the guest speakers, symbolizing the gratitude and appreciation for their invaluable contributions.
