In the last ten days of Ramadan the brutal attack on Gaza is continuing. The terrorist state has killed more than 300 and more than 2200 have been injured. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) eighty percent of the fatalities are civilians and half of the injured are women and children. Despite this fact Israel is getting a green light to go on with slaughtering civilians as President Obama is encouraging them “to try to minimize civilian deaths in its ground push into Gaza”.
It seems the life of people in Gaza and Palestine, especially talking about women and children, seem not have any value in the eye of President Obama and the rest of today’s world leaders, Khallad Swaid, the IIFSO secretary general said today. We cannot see any serious effort to stop this war crimes and mass murder as the world is just watching, some seem even to applaud, he added.
The IIFSO asks all its member organisations, friends and freedom loving people to articulate their anger in a civilized manner and put more public pressure on their governments to do their utmost to stop the bloodshed in Gaza. We also ask you to cooperate with the humanitarian organisations in your countries so your help arrives where it is needed. Additionally we demand from the international community, led by institutions as the UN, the OIC, Arab League and others to work on stopping the Israeli aggression, end the siege of Gaza and take all responsible for this and previous massacres to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
In this last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, in which many victories have been achieved, we ask every young Muslim to use especially his dua for the people in Palestine, Syria, Myanmar, Iraq, Bangladesh, China and elsewhere. Stand united with every freedom and justice loving human being all over the world to cooperate in our peaceful struggle to end injustice and oppression. We need to work relentlessly and together on building a world, in which everyone can live in peace, freedom, justice and dignity.
