IIFSO is saddened by the death of Egyptian former President Mohamed Morsi. Mohamed Morsi was the first democratically elected President of Egypt in 2012.
He was later overthrown by the army and was imprisoned until his recent death in court, given his deteriorating health.
The news of his death has shocked the Muslim community across the world; his sacrifice for the community and his efforts for change in Egypt, will not be forgotten. We send his family our prayers and condolences at this time.
We pray to see justice and human rights restored.
