The International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations (IIFSO) expresses its grave concern and strong condemnation of the ongoing military escalation in the Middle East. These military actions, which have resulted in significant loss of life and destruction of infrastructure, seriously threaten regional and international security.
The Federation condemns all violations targeting civilians or contravening International Humanitarian Law, and calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the provision of protection for civilians and infrastructure. We also emphasize the urgent need for the international community to act swiftly to halt the increasing humanitarian suffering in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran.
The Federation demands the following:
A comprehensive cessation of hostilities, adherence to International Humanitarian Law, and the protection of civilians.
Accountability for those responsible for violations and the activation of the United Nations’ role to ensure the achievement of peace.
IIFSO reaffirms its commitment to promoting a culture of peace and justice, confronting injustice, and calling upon youth and students to work towards a more just future for our Islamic Ummah.
